Approx. Cost for 383 Stroker Build

I have a 1994 Z28 A4 with shorty headers and SLP LM1 and I was wondering about what it would cost me when its all said done to build a 383 stroker for fairly cheap? (if thats even possible)

Too many variables to consider before putting out a number. I know for an LS1 based 383 forged shortblock is gonna cost $4,500 and up. Then you need to figure out what heads or head work you want done to maximize the engines potential.

Just do some searches through some of the sponsors from this site, you'll get an idea of cost.

A better question to ask is "What is the best way to get to this # that I want to make"?

Do you have a certain power # in mind? Certain ET you want to run?....a 383 may not be called for

Given the LT based block I'd say it would be cheaper to build a 383 out of it. Hell Forged SBC 383 kits can be had for less than 1500 these days. I wouldn't guess more than 2K for your bottom end even with machining costs. LS engines are the best thing to happen to SBC. I found fully forged kits for less than 1500$ in less than 5 mins.

    I have a 383 for sale-complete intake to pan with good heads,fully forged. I'm asking for $4900 complete including opti,water pump, alternator,etc.
Not sure if this is okay to do from here, but 5.0THIS can just let me know if it's not.

Check under my name in the for sale section here if interested.
