    42 lb injectors yes or no

    ill list what i have and you guys tell me if 42lb injectors are to big for an LT1 i have alot of bolt ons but the main things for this is

    bored intake manifold with 58mm throttle body
    100 shot of nitrous wanting to go 125
    less then a month after i put the injectors in ill will be putting a cc306 cam with all the assessories

    um yeah i think so. i have a 383 and im doing a stage 3 lloyd elliot package with a 150-200 shot and im doing a 40lb injector. but im no expert, i would say 30-36 max

    my car will have around 450 with out nos so it will be around 572 with it so what do you think ,

    sorry but go over your mods again. i dont see any mods supporting 450 hp are you talking rwhp or flywheel? because to get 572rwhp you would need gods help. are you a m6 or a4?

    I don't think it will hurt anything to go overboard on injectors as long as the tune it set up right. Might be a waste though. I am not 100% sure but I would think one of the best ways to see if you need a bigger injector is to look at how much the ones you have working (which requires somekind of software).

    i really think the 36 would be max. but it is controlled by the comp. i had 30lb injectors and they were great on the 383 stroker. i just have to go bigger because of the 200+ hp im adding. i would say ask your local tuner? he should know your setup really well

    I'll make it real simple. I am at 469 rwhp and have 36# FAST injectors that are at 73% DC. I don't have much room to grow horsepower wise before my injectors are maxed out. You want your injectors to be 80% DC or less at the most. For one, they last longer and two, you have cushon for more HP in the future. I wish I would have gone with 42# injectors the first time.

    Get the 42#ers and forget about it.

    i have , ported heads, ported intake manifold, 58 mm throttle body, headers, stage3 clutch, short throw, flowmaster exhaust, 30lb injectors, 125 shot nos, ws6 rear end, tourqe arm, drag launch springs, full MSD ignition, ram air intake, pcm chip,160 T stat, and within the next month ill have CC306 cam with pushrods rockers, springs, retainers, locks, lifters, i orderd them im just waiting , and im only 18 still in high school , i got my car, my money and hot girl thats all a guy could ask for lol

    42's and have it tuned. It's better to have a little more than not enough.

    Why pay $300 for some injectors that you will have to replace if you ever add another power adder(turbo or supercharger). Then you waste more money buying bigger injectors

    Mine is 451 rwhp and I have 42 lb green tops
    so If you are 450 you are good but 572 will max them out if it is a dry kit
