1994 LT1 Camaro
just bought a 1994 camaro with a LT1 engine in it, it has NOS, long tube headers, and a cold air intake. It has plenty of room to do stuff with but im not too familiar with the LT1. if you have any suggestions or ideas on where to start let me know.

its a 15 lb bottle and i beleive a 75 shot. right now i plan on taking it to a track near my house. the previous owner ran a 12.6 there, but there hasnt been too much done to the car yet. so i plan on track and dd i guess. i have about $800 dollars right now saved up and im ready to start putting some power on my car.

Suspension/tires is a good place for you to start now. Sky's the limit, just all depends on how fast you wan't to go.

well the car already has a suspension and was lowered and has brand new tires so im not too worried about that. i was thinking about getting some bolt ons because as of now there are none. so just any suggestions on anything will help.

If the new tires are not stickies (i.e. drag radials) they are worthless. Nitrous will overpower street tires easily resulting in lots of power and no traction. Gears (3.73 auto/4.10 M6) are a good upgrade as well.
As far as bolt-ons, don't expect to much from them. Throttle bodies are virtually pointless on stock heads/cam motors in my opinion, though you can pick up power with the likes of an air foil, high-flow elbow, ported stock MAF, electric water pump, 1.6 rockers, LT4 Knock Module, Tune etc. etc.

what tires do you suggest? and if you had $800 what would you invest in?

how much do you think that would cost

around $400 give or take for the Nitto's and around $170 for a set of Motive gears shipped. The remaining amount could be spent on the labor of the gear install.

You never mentioned anything about a catback exhaust (behind the long tube headers).. but if it has the stock catback, you might get an aftermarket one. Otherwise, you said it already had a CAI and headers. Not really too many more bolt on power goodies (besides the ones N2OLT4 mentioned)
I'd say a custom dyno tune will help get more out of your bolt ons, and then as already mentioned, perhaps suspension goodies: tubular LCAs and panhard out back, subframe connectors, better shocks if it doesnt already have them, etc etc.

for 800 I'd say look up le1 and get your heads done by him. it's 800 for the le1 head. the heads alone will be a big gain. if you get a cam later on then you will have a very nice setup. you can go with a comp cams cam to save money on the cam later on. for 1100 you could do a heads and cam package if you go with the le1 head.

Uhh.... yeah... It would end up being more than 1100$ to do heads and cam, especially if just the heads are 800$, wether they're assembled or not.
As for shocks, it depends on what you want the car to do. And it depends on what springs the car has in it now. For stock springs, bilstein HDs arent a bad upgrade for handling, but they arent designed for use with lowering springs.
