    ZR1's on a bird?

was in the market for some new shoes this summer, i Was thinkin C6's or even C6 z06's but i came upon a decent deal on some chrome Zr1 17's. Opinions on looks ( 02 formy ) Are these all the same backspacing/offset or is there replicas floating around with different as all i'm lookin for is some direct bolt ons. He says they're 275/40zr17 back 225/40/z17 up front. Doesnt seem to know a whole lot and he hasnt gotten back to me on what he had them on before. I'm not planning on lowering my car so should i hold off for some 18" c6 replicas? thoughts?

i haven't heard of a zr1 that fit a 225/40/17r. Front wheel sounds kinda odd to me, but I love my zr1's. 275/40/17r up front and 315/35/17r out back.

It's possible they make it, but I've only seen the replicas in the smallest is a 9.5 in rim. I originally wanted an 8in for the front to keep 245's but went with the 275's after finding a bargain.

Mine are black, not sure if you care to see. definitely stick with chrome on the pretty blue car.

When I first got em at stock ride height.

you can peek through my album if you want to see after lowering, etc.

those are close to the factory bird rims...Ive seen C6 Z06's that look damn good on birds, particularly black on black.

Check out OE wheels on ebay. good stuff, rims run from 400-600 a set. several people including myself on here have bought their rims

    c6 zr1

Speaking of ZR1's I got a crush on the C6 zr1's recently. I would love to see one on a bird. Can find replicas on ebay for about 7-900 a set. Not sure how I like the sizes available tho.

Just my opinion but Corvette wheels belong on a Corvette. I think our 'birds deserve better. My WS6 wheels look better than the 'vette wheels on a T/A.

I think the c5 ZR1's are probably the best looking for the firebird as a replica or trade wheel. TT2's look great but that's what I see all around me and didn't want to have. Several people have put the multi spoke (rally style) wheels on and they look amazing. I was scoping out the c6 zo6 wheels as they are a similar design and fitment is all but guaranteed where some of those others have a slightly different lug pattern getting mixed results on fitment.

Whatever ya like, throw it on.
