Another thing you can do is look at ebay but look at the completed listings. That can gave you a decent look at what they
    Are selling for

    Hey Jon,

    Thanks for the suggestion!

But.... i am one step ahead and have already done this as far back as ebay will allow
and that is not an awful long way as it happens.

All the cars that did not meet their reserve or the BIN are still showing and there is
a real good looking possibility in Florida but ebay messages to him go unanswered alas.

Is there any way at all to be able to ressurect listings going back further than ebay
permit, or any sites which can help with this? I know about Terapeak but just a bit
too complicated with card details and stuff!

I shall keep looking and i really thank you guys for the help and keep the thoughts coming!

    Houston!!

I am searching like a madman all over but i have to find one at or near-ish to a port to keep
overland transport costs right down. This means Galveston/Brunswick/ Linden/Baltimore and my shipping
agent has warned me away from shipping out of Jacksonville due to thefts and whatnot?

All you that read this.... help me out!!!!

    Guys...

This one has popped up on the radar and it seems ok but.......
..... apparently it has had a clonk up the rear and the rear bumper
    replaced because of it.

Pontiac : Trans Am WS6 in Pontiac | eBay Motors

Common sense says "leave it alone and search more", but i wonder
if it actually is as minor as he implies?

I suppose my main question here is because it is noted as having
had an accident in the Autocheck report, i guess this will also show
in a Carfax report? Sooo.... if it is NOT showing as a rebuilt title
how is this perceived with you the buyer in the US?! How much does
a car have to suffer before a rebuilt title is issued on a car, and would
it deter YOU if you are reading this, regarding the bumper "tap"?

Also.... and i have read a lot into it on this site.... this is an M6 and i
do enjoy the "click it into drive" aspect of an auto which my last TA was!
Am i likely to get more out of the car by having the M6 to shift and enjoy
a more involving drive?! Personal choice i realise but some thoughts maybe??

    Thanks as always

That does look good! We have several Jersey members on here -- Rich, Keith and others that may be close enough to take a look.

    Jeff,

    Thanks for the positive, but....

I really do want thoughts on the title issues versus "just accidents"
    situation.

And as Jeff hinted... are there any Jersey members who could take a peek for me?!

    Pretty please!!

The car has to be "totaled" by the insurance company to then undgergo an "R" or reconstructed title process. The key is to carefully inspect the car for damage and bodywork -- and ask the seller what he/she knows about it.

    Trev,

Make sure you do a Car Fax check on anything. Our northeast coast was hit pretty hard by a hurricane recently and there are a lot of flood damaged cars popping up on the market. Once cleaned up, it is hard to tell it was flooded until all the electronics quit and the paint starts to bubble over the internal rust spots from the salt water corrosion. If you find something in the Washington DC area let me know and I'll take a look. The only local car I see on Craigslist that would interest me would be this one 1998 Pontiac Firebird Formula . All the engine of a WS6, nice options, decent mileage but much cheaper.

    Well....

The search goes on and i found one on Craigslist a short while ago now
    and never got any response.

Maybe it's sold and he could not be bothered to reply or maybe he really
does think i am a scammer, dunno!?

But, here is the link....... 2000 Trans Am
and as he won't respond to me in the UK would somebody
on here be willing to just drop him a mail from the Craigslist ad and maybe if you
get a response then explain what i am doing and that i AM legit and then maybe
he'd reply to me? I'd obviously call him if i could but there is no number.

Be very grateful and it would be an easy one for somebody to do!!

I wish you luck on your search. Good deals can be found if you look hard enough. I just picked up this 2000 WS-6 for $10K. It has 60K on the clock. I thought it was a pretty good deal...

In my mad, almost obsessive hunt for another WS6 i have been looking all over.

This will make you smile... I have been looking at dealers used inventory to see
if maybe they have a TA as a trade in and found a couple, but when i found this
    i chuckled..

Uh that link took me to northeastjobs.org.uk for some odd reason. Not a WS6 but there is a formula near me for sale. You may have seen this one for sale.
