one reason why pewter grew on me,it hides dust well my car was covered with leaves, green pollin etc you'd have to see it in person to assess the dirt

My car hasn't been washed since November when I last drove it. It sits in a garage though. It's hell-a dusty though since I stopped putting the car cover on it.

Add a few stupid random sprinkles to the dust and pollen, and that is what my car looks like right now

Robert:
Make sure you don't have any little critters building condos under the hood or in the tail pipes.
I saw a car that was in storage over the winter in an attached garage that just happened to have the dogs dry food along side of it. You guessed it, mice took the dry kibble up the tailpipe to a muffler for safe keeping !
Car would hardly run and blew heavy duty smoke from the cooking kibble.Magnaflow Quad Tip, Lid, SBellow

Mine really dusty too...Sitting in the garage all winter, although it was nice enough in early January to get it out for a ride..but no wash. So it has been since November also..

I think I wash/wax mine too much lol. The garage where I'm staying isn't big enough for a car and it's out in the yard year round. I throw a car cover on it every time I think the weather is going to be too bad but still, it's a dd driver and i mean daily lol. It's waxed at least once every month I'd say. Rarely does it go beyond that.

I'd also if you choose to, get up under the passenger side dash and drop out the HVAC blower.
Little critters like to build stashes in there too, lol then you go to turn on the fan and FOOF! lol nuts, fur, stink,
and rodent shit flies all over you and your interior.
It's real easy to get to worth checking imho..
