WS6 Hood Advice
Does anyone know where i can get a good RELIABLE ws6 hood. I live in chicago and might have to drive it sometimes in the winter to and from college. And i want a good hood that WONT effing crack or break on me in any extreme conditions. And with that... if i buy the hood.... how much would you guys think it would cost to get it painted by a shop? Thanks

us exoctics, suncoast, and tru fiber are good brands. i painted my hood myself and spent about $150 on material (that damn pewter base is expensive) so I'd expect at least double that to have a shop do it.

Midnight Blue- 2001 WS6 TRANS AM
I had dealing with Suncoast Creations, it was the worst experience of my life. Wouldnt suggest them to my worst enemy. They sent me a warped hood to start with. Then they used a plastic dryer vent for their induction tube. You are not allowed by building stanards in PA to use plastic on dryers let alone a hot motor. Anyway my 2 cents.

Do yourself a favor and buy an OEM, otherwise it's obvious it's aftermarket and looks worse. ahhhhhhhh

Primed and painted mine myself too, Mine actually looks better than my buddies oem one, I bought mine from a guy who bought it off ebay it was still in gelcoat. I fit it before any work, had to do alot of adjusting and even some grinding and sanding around the headlight door openings to make the gaps the same, a bunch of work but worth it.
painted it in the garage and put it on and looks fantastic.
