    Ws6 hood

Ive been talking to people in my town who have ws6 hoods and they say they are better than the factory one because it weighs less. Theres now way in hell im going to get a factory one because they want 2500 for the hood. Ive been looking online and there are some fiberglass hoods that i can buy for under 500. If yall have fiberglass hoods or know about them please tell me if they are worth buying and which place i should buy them from. And if they fit right or not. Any pictures would help to!
    Thanks, Jory.

I have suncoast creations hoods on both my cars. I love them!

i have a fibeglass hood i got off of egay fits fine no probs except when you close the hood you need to grab it wide so you put equal pressure on the whole hood

i also heard that you need hood pins for them but i dont have them and never had a problem with it

That sounds like a BIG problem to me if you cannot open it like you can a normal hood.

Both my Suncoast hoods are sturdy and open as if they were metal.

I imagine yours is quite a bit lighter though! So it could be worth it

I was lucky, my Firebid was in an accident which the hood got daamaged. They ordered the OEM hood for me as a replacement. When I bought the T/A, I swapped the hoods before I sold the V-6. I say go with OEM if you can find one at a decent price.

Oem ones can be found new for $1,300 I believe. Check GM parts direct, I´d give you a link but forget the part #. I bought a WS9 from US Exotics. Was supposed to be one of the best aftermarkets. It´s ok for the price, passes the 5 foot test. Aftermarkets will require alot more prep to look good. Get OEM if you can. My WS9 hood came with factory grill inserts which is nice. I don´t care for aftermarket hoods with fake grill inserts. (i.e. Suncoast Creations)
