t/a's are rarer than mustangs, so t/a's shouldn't be modded...

In all seriousness, I had a 98 Dakota R/T which was 1 of 74 Black Reg Cab trucks built that year. Too bad it was never going to be worth anything.

I say do what you want.

I have a 2000 Firehawk 6M NBM with the SLP spoiler and rims. it's one of only 10, maybe even less, that are like it.

I've already swapped out the HU speakers shocks end links and am looking to do the lid next then subwoofer, amps wiring. then a 12 bolt....

sure it's all bolt ons but its not original. the way I see it i'm making someone else a very rich man one day when his last surviving NBM 2000 firehawk with SLP spoiler sells at barrett Jackson for 400,000+ dollars. For me? I'm enjoying my dream car the way I want to enjoy it.

Actually I believe he has it backwards. In 01-02 I think there were more WS6s than TAs.

I never purchased any rims from them but don't see any reason not to. I almost bought their chromed 98-2000 WS6 rims years back but ended up going with the SLP Firehawk rims instead.

I have a 98 TA, A4, Vert, 22K miles, all stock other than new tires. I have the original tires in my garage. I bought it at 18.5K miles for $12,800 in January 09.

I love it!! I really wanna mod but I'm gonna wait til I can afford a cheaper, not as rare bird and keep the WS6 stock and have fun modding the other....

I have owned a 2001 WS6, I now own a 2002 Firehawk Trans Am. There are different variations of the Firehawk. The base model prior to the SLP mods will dictate how aggresive the outer appearance is. The Trans Am base model looks more aggresive than the Formula. Not all Firehawks came with every option SLP had to offer. Check the inside of the passenger side door for the SLP options sticker. That will list all of the Firehawk options the car came with. I have to admit that the WS6 looks much tougher. However, the Firehawk came with better/lower suspension and more ponies. I was getting a 13.3 1/4 mile time at Sacramento Raceway in my WS6, with subframe connectors, K&N air filter, & SLP loudmouth cat back exhaust. A guy with an all factory Firehawk was getting 13.0. If you plan on keeping the car for a long time, Firehawk. If you just want to have fun and catch peoples eye, WS6. I would not spend too much money either way. Check Kelly Blue book. Don't pay more than recomended, dealerships will try to stick it to ya. Good luck.

Buy what you want... whether its a Hawk or a WS6 or a Formula- buy it and then make it what you want.

I bought a 2k Firehawk, high miles (120k), and in need of a lot of love- I call it my rescue bird. I plan on getting as much back up to stock power as I can, but modding how I want- I know they're rare, but I don't buy cars to park in my garage- I buy them to drive!

    2002 Trans Am WS-6

I've had 3 WS6's and I think they definitely look more aggressive than Firehawks. IMO, the Firehawks have a sleeker look. It really depends which look appeals to you. I'd make my judgment on the car by taking into account overall condition, mileage, and if its modded already or stock. I personally was looking for a bone stock BSM A4 WS6, but I also was considering Black and NBM. I ended up getting a bone stock, one owner 2000 NBM WS6 M6 with 17,8XX miles on it for $17,900 in 2004, which cost more than many other modded Z28's and SS's or SS clones. I want to be the one who decides what mods I plan on doing. I like the WS6 hood better than the Firehawk's except that I like that the Firehawk hood has heat extractors. If I were ever to get another Trans Am, I'd get the WS9 hood. It looks like the WS6 hood, but it has the heat extractors like the Firehawk hoods.
