Well as long as the car is stock with low miles from a collector I want to keep it that way for now, at least externally. I have a catalog for a sticker for 30 bucks. I will look in to that. They list it in many colors and in the catalog it is a more true red than it looks on the car IMO so that would look nice to me and an easy way to perfect the exterior.

I am designing my build now, it is a daily driver and plan a few mods for power but not for drag racing, street performance. I hope to come in to some cash for a low psi blower after I decide what to do about the rest of the drivetrain. I did this same sort of venture with a black 87 Z-51 vette and it turned out just as I liked and believe it or not was totally practical as well, nothing ever broke, that is what I am going for again.

    Too each their own.
I, for one, do not see these cars as collectibles. Just too many made.

But nothing wrong with keeping it stock either.
    Good luck either way!!

I am not necessarily thinking collector, though I think it is hard to beat them for bang per buck. What I really would like is to keep it stock on the outside and have sort of a sleeper if anything. I just build cars to the way I like to drive them. I am not much in to dash trash or the slow but cosmetically modified imports like a lot of kids are driving around here.

So for the 10 grand I have in to this car with 30K miles on it that is pretty much like new I can spend a few bucks and still have the best bang for the buck, just a bigger bang.

I agree it is nice, there are so many nice looking cars I have seen on this site alone. The black ones though I think everyone agrees is the most difficult to keep looking clean. I have one and another member really spends a lot of time on his finish.

I guess it is not in this thread, it was a different member who has an avatar with his black WS6 doing a wheelie...I guess he found some traction.

I may have to put up a thread but I am still trying to figure out the one area of my car that is not perfect, that rear mid panel he posted a photo of. It is slightly faded where it says Trans Am and it feels like paint to me. It is a little thing but I want to make sure what it is made of before determining how to replace it.
