When you shift from first ronsecond gear it blocks the gear and makes you hit fourth. Happens at low throttle not anything past 1/4 I believe it is

Yup. It's there to help these cars get the 17 MPG city rating.
I think the parameters are, less than 26% throttle, between 15-19 MPH, engine at operating temp (over 175).
You can buy a skip-shift eliminator, (this unplugs the connector from the solenoid on the transmission and plugs in a resistor to make the PCM think it is still connected), get it tuned out of the PCM, or unplug it altogether (this turns on the SES light).
Crazy how this engine doesn't complain about 750 RPM in 4th gear. Just pulls away smoothly, if not super quick. Still enough to be faster than most cars out there you deal with in traffic!

Get it tuned out...a tune was the best thing in my opinion, added performance and you can have them tune out the skip shift and anything on the exhaust. Not too cheap but well worth it if the cars has some aftermarket parts and no tune yet

I think I have a skip shift eliminator I'll sell. Let me know if interested. I put it on my first camaro and loved it. This camaro either already has one or it is tuned out.
But tell us more about this WS6. Skip shift is normally the first thing modded. Is this thing bone stock???

Try to shift it to second when this light comes on. If you can, then you already have the eliminator installed. If you can't, then you will need it.

I can shift into second in mine but it feels as if it takes a little effort... So in normal cars it doesnt let you shift to second? Is their like a block their?

Correct. In stock cars, a solenoid would lock out second until you shifted into fourth. You never had to release the clutch though. You could simply move the shifter to fourth and then back to second while the clutch was disengaged. Overall, it is quite annoying. Which is why it's usually one of the first things eliminated.
