Raised airbox, different sway bars/shocks/springs also I believe. At least in some years. I think they got generic the last 3 years or so. Different muffler and tips, a power steering cooler built into the upper radiator hose, tho that was added to all F-bodies around 1999 I think.

The sindow sticker said something like "WS6 performance handling and suspension package, consisting of specific springs, sway bars and more."

Only correction would be that the "genericization" of the WS6 suspension occurred in Nov 2000 (early '00 MY), from that point on the only thing unique to WS6 was the sway bars and 17" rims.

I wish I knew where this myth about the "WS6 spoiler" originated from. ITS A MYTH! There is nothing special about spoilers on WS6 cars. ALL T/A coupes from '98-'02 came w/ the uplift spoiler, whether it was a WS6 or not. ALL Formulas from '93-'02* had the standard (non-uplift) spoiler, whether it was a WS6 or not.

Even in the years where the T43 uplift spoiler was OPTIONAL on T/A coupes ('94-'97), I don't think ordering WS6 automatically included T43. The vast majority of '96-'97 WS6 T/A coupes had T43, that is true. But I don't think the T43 spoiler was included as part of the WS6 package. CompNine's database indicates there were 14 '96 WS6 T/As without T43, and 0 (zero) '97 WS6s without T43. I suppose it is possible T43 was packaged w/ WS6 in '97, but it could've been a "mandatory option", or merely 100% popular w/ WS6 buyers that year. Maybe that is where this myth originated from.

*Exception: SLP offered the T43 spoiler on Firehawk Formulas in '96-'97. But then again, Firehawks are NOT WS6s.

The WS6 also comes with more stares from other people while driving down the road. That's important too...

When I got mine in 98 the WS6 package was more than a $2k price bump at the dealerships in MA. Kinda wish I would have gotten a Firehawk though since WS6's are a dime a dozen in the Houston area.

Yeah but aren't all levels of f-bodies a dime a dozen in Houston? And to some extent all of Texas?

Yeah but I still see far less Firehawks that any other Fbody. Hard to tell with the WS6's since you can buy the aftermarket hood like I have for $275 local. I don't have any banging and wasn't trying to make it a clone I.just wanted a RAM air hood for my Volant setup and the WS6 style was the cheapest I had found. I have a lot of friends with TA's mostly WS6's but only know one person with a Hawk and it's a Formula model.

The 96-97 was the exact same exhaust except you got oval tips.
