This is a discussion on Ws-7? within the Firebird / WS6 forums, part of the Vehicle Specific category; Not sure if this has been discussed or not, but what's the difference between a WS-6 and a WS-7?...

from the understanding i got. a ws7 is a regular trans am that an individual has converted to a ws6 status, but doesnt want to be considered an asc imposter, so they label it a ws7

If you buy a trans am, then convert it to a ws.6; then badge it a ws.6. there, i said it

As long as they mention that it is a clone I am cool with it.

Just don't claim something you don't have. This goes more for the rare 60's muscle car than the newer pony cars.

If you want to badge your non-WS.6 car a WS.6 I have no problem with that AS LONG as you tell me it is made to be a WS.6.
WS.7 is a nifty way to 'clone' it without calling it what it isn't.

    Trim levels are just that....

I wanted the WS.6 not for what it is called but for what it looked like.
And of course I changed that anyways...a little.

I looked at all kinds of performance cars. From a 1994 RX-7 to a few 1996 Cobras before picking the WS.6.
Picked on looks. I knew I would mod it regardless.

Almost had to get that RX-7 though....

There are a lot of RX-7's out there with an LSx.

They fit well, are more reliable than the rotary, power in a light car, etc...
