writing a paper on our cars

This is a discussion on writing a paper on our cars within the Firebird / WS6 forums, part of the Vehicle Specific category; Nobody's mentioned yet that the T-56 M6 trans used in f-bodies has also been used in Corvettes since (what?) '92 ...

Nobody's mentioned yet that the T-56 M6 trans used in f-bodies has also been used in Corvettes since (what?) '92 w/ the introduction of the LT1, and in the Viper from '90 - '0x? That seems to impress some people.

Funny how there could be such a difference of opinion.
This is the nicest clutch I have ever owned. Never owned a performance car other than my 68 and current 67 Firebird.
I am a new owner of an 02 CETA M6, and while I do feel it going into 2nd and 3rd, have felt some grinding, I usually think it's my laziness on the clutch. I did Bang it a couple of times when I first got it a month ago, I drive it hard occasionally, but after reading this, will not bang 2nd gear anymore.

I've owned my 67 400 with Muncie 4 speed for 20 years, got the clutch replaced just last year, probably was original, only 60k miles. That car is now so hard to drive after owning the TA.

Anyway, I love this clutch and trans, only 20k miles, hope is lasts.

You could possible add to your paper that most owners don't just like their car (Trans Am/Camaro) we truely love our cars, like it is a part of us. I had a 96' firebird and my wife convinced me to sell it because me need more room with our newborn. for 5 very long years, everyday, i get depress looking at everyone driving their T/A's or Camaros around. It got so bad my wife finally agreed to let me get another one..
i think im going to put that in my conclusion. And again, thanks for the info, this is by far the most fun paper ive ever written.

Also, unlike earlier years, a mullet and trailer park is optional, not mandatory. I have also heard that in alot of porn movies, everyone seems to drive 2002 WS6's.

what is the point of this paper? is it supposed to prove any point or show anything? or just describe a hobby? starting with the engine as the first paragraph then going to transmission, where else is it going to go? the rear? that paragraph will be all negative. suspension? that will be pretty mediocre too(nothing WRONG with it, but nothing extraordinary) if you're talking about these cars in stock form. not being critical since i don't really know the assignment just seems like it'd end up being a really scattery paper.

if i personally were writing a paper about f-bodies, i'd probably make it about the bang for the buck value of them. i honestly don't think there's a better value out there. for the straight line performance, handling, braking, looks, comfort, gas mileage, reliability/maintenance costs, modability, and overall potential in every aspect f-bodies are just unmatchable IMO.

i'd start with the intro, then a few paragraphs(each about one of the topics above) and then a nice conclusion. should be a very easy paper to write. if you write it well enough maybe your teacher will buy one.

The whole point of this paper is that i have to like critique something and try to convince a person that it is a good muscle car an what not. i think that sums it up.

I know for the 01-02 the slave cyl is better cause when i changed my clutch i upgraded to the 01-02 as far as master cyl there the same...but i just put in a tick perf adj one so thats all solved and these car now are a good bang for your buck, good starting point if you want a REAL fast car. Although like anything else it gets spendy real fast

Try using LS1.com as a selling point, in other words near conclusion of the Information on the car focus on the fact that it is a lifestyle not just a car, and how it brings people together and what not... A.B.S ...Always Be Selling.

Otherwise the paper may just end up an Informational document. IMO
