Wrecked 99 Forumla :(
Soo yeah.. My friend John and I were going down a local backroad when.. a drunk/high drive in a red toyota clunker was pulling out of his trailer's driveway. He pulled out half-way into our lane.. then stopped.. John hit the brakes and swerved into the oncoming-lane.. at the same time John turned left.. the drunk FLOORED it, and met us head-on. Both air-bags deployed in our car.. battery caught on fire.. E-brake started smoking really bad and is stuck. The state troopers deemed it the other guys fault, BUT it took them about an Hour and half to get there.. and somehow the drunk or high driver passed the DUI test.. He was on something whether it was alcohol or drugs I don't know. No scratches on EITHER of us.. all i had was a red mark on my shoulder from the seatbelt.. John had airbag burn under his arms but it was gone the next day. We were going about 35 when we hit.. maybe? Oh, and the drunk has NO insurance.
Pic:
His insurace said they might give him around 11,000 for a new car, or might fix his car now.
It's a 99 Formula with a 6speed manual.. 60,000 miles. With Electric cutous
We're trying to find a Z28 or Formula/Trans am with the LS1 in it that has a Manual tranny and low miles.. but they're pretty rare around here for only 11k. So he might just tell insurance to fix it.Last edited by LMS10; 10-12-2009 at 09:02 PM.

ouch
Sucks that it happened but you might come out ahead if you part the car out and take the 11g's for a new one.Last edited by c5z28; 10-12-2009 at 10:06 PM.

Good to hear you survived. The other driver should NOT have been on the roads to begin with.

Black 2002 Formula M6- SOLD on 11/21/2009
I will take $15k for my mint, low mileage (35,5xx) 2002 M6 Formula. I purchased for more than that just 2 1/2 years ago from Original owner who works for GM and ordered car from factory..Has traction control as well....Never been raced or abused....I've only put approx 2k miles on car since buying it.....
First time I ever used a video camera and had to hold it while driving and shifting....sure not the best quality video but at least you can see and hear her. Read description on Video on YouTube for details of car.
Car is black exterior with ebony cloth interior. Never smoked in and nobody has ever sat in the back seats. No tears or rips or stains and has a small maybe 1/2" long hairline crack in drivers door panel below window. Can barely see it. Car has clean CarFax when I bought her and a recent one for selling her is clean as well. Original owner did tell me while stopped at a red light a girl rolled into the back of him while on cell phone and cracked drivers side tailight lens and put a small crack approx 1" long underside of hatch lip...He had body shop do small repair correctly and wouldn't know it happened if he didn't point it out to me.....This LS1 is just awesome...Message me or email me with any questions or interest or for photos.
