    Would You Buy This T/A

I was looking at this Trans Am on an auction site & was thinking about getting my friend to bid on it for me when it comes up,its an 02 i think its worth fixing, but if i get it could i swap intakes? how much trouble would it be for me to put my ls1 intake on the 02 T/A and put the ls6 intake on my 2000,i will only sell the 02 anyway, because of its condition i plan on keeping mine, would you guys buy this T/A as a fixer upper, one thing for sure those rims have to go

It dont appears to be bad as it may seem, looks like all it needs is a door, fender, bumper cover & headlight, hopefully it sells for cheap if so i could start buying the parts will a 93-96 door fit on a 02

For me, no. If you have the time and money to fix it up why not?

if you are wanting to buy it just to swap intakes, fix it,and resell it i would say dont do it unless you get it dirt cheap because it will probably cost more to buy it and fix it than what you would make in profit reselling it,it would be cheaper to just buy an ls6 intake, even if you break even thats alot of work, time, and money to put out if you cant make any profit

    Couple of things,

    1. will it be sold under a salvage title?

If it is you will never get any of the money you put into it back.

    2. Based on the wheels and the way the damage looks i am gonna say the guy driving drove that thing like a ninny.

    3. Total cost after all repairs I am willing to bet will cost about as much as a TA in decent shape, I see them going from 11 to 15 grand now (even WS6). More so now that sports cars are going to be out of season.

So me personally I would not bother going through the headache with trying to fix that car, xmas around the corner and all, it just seems like a waste of time and money.

    i would like to differ
1.)in new orleans 4th gen fbodys are very, very popular
2.)i can get the parts dirt cheap
3.)my uncle, friends all have automotive & body shops,so getting it fixed will be cheap also
4.)no matter what season it is in new orleans an fbody will sell,so aint no way i can lose, even if i keep it as a daily driver
5.)some ppl dont even care about salvage titles,if the car looks and performs good they will buy i sold a few cars with salvage titles before, because i get cars from the auction all the time anytime i put a 99 WS6,That was a theft recovery together and sold it for a decent price this car is nuthing for me to get fixed,i have pics of the theft recovery WS6 I put together if you would like to see them

    98 T/A w/a little mods...

Like Curtis said.....only if real cheap and only if I was converting it to a track car.

I don't see that passenger door ever opening right ever again.

I'd like to know what hit him. That much damage and no airbag deployment.

I will assess the damage once i go to the auction, you know pics hide things, but once i see the car in person i will know if its worth saving
