how did you remove the one up by the speaker. I am still confused because the seatbelt retracts into the rear panel!!!

I took out the jack and spare today. No idea how much I just saved my car but obviously a few unnecessary pounds.
Im gonna hold off on the rear seats until my dad comes back from his trip to get his help.

youre killing me!!! do you see where it retracts? that housing that contains the roll up? it is secured down with one (1) bolt. use a socket wrench to remove it. it is under and in front of the plastic pieces that house the rear speakers!

spare tire is about ~25 and the jack is about 5.

    good work. it all counts.

weight is the great equalizer. you can have your 600 hp 3700 lb car.

i'll stick with 410 hp and 3200 lbs when i get there.
10 hp. moves 100 pounds, taking 95 pounds out of your car is only worth around 9.5 horses. the 600 hp car still has a better power to weight ratio.

i was speaking hypothetically. BY PLAYING THE NUMBERS GAME, youre right.

at the track, i think my hypothetical car would edge the more powerful one out.

it isnt an exact thing either, as different parts weigh different things on different cars.

100 pounds shaved= tenth at the track.

too many variables for it to be exact.

also, consider the weight balance of the two said cars. my car (since its my hypothetical one) will most definetely have a lesser weight percentage over the nose of the car, couple that with the right ideally over the rear axle, plus the 400 or so less pounds and then do the ratio thingy...

and its common sense that theoretically you can have less power with less weight and run comparable times to a heavier, more powerful car, and have the torqe transfer easier on the drivetrain.

many advantages to a lighter car in addition to speed....

I dunno, SRT-8s are pretty damn heavy, I think around 4100 pounds? but they're about the same as our cars with 425 hp. 600 hp and they'd be way faster.

right there you just proved my theory....

think about the power difference and the weight difference.

    thats stock cars we're talking.

I proved you wrong... haha, they weigh around 500 pounds more, I just checked. they have 100 more horsepower, but offer about the same straight line performance, if not better. with 500 pounds more weight. and only 100 more horsepower. and I'd way rather be able to carry some people if need be. and you can't always rely on AAA with a flat tire.
