i have borla and i love it. but if you are trying to get more hp for your money,,instead of spending 775 on borla get some lt's, ORY and some cheaper exhaust. it will sound good and you will have more HP. later buy the borla when you have more money.

dude omg that sounded like... amaazing!

but i did actually talk to people at work today, and its 900 for the cat-back with the whole set of pipes and what not, but if i found a place that does exhausts, they could make pipes to fit my car for like way cheaper, apparently like 100 bucks, plus the cost of the muffler and tips and stuff, so it'd be about 450 in the end including labor and it would be welded instead of bolted on..

so i could be going with that cuz im trying to stay under 500 for the exhaust cuz theres so much more i want too! plus i still have car and insurance payments to make... =/

The Magnaflow catback is $450 I think new.
A very rookie modder can install a catback themselves with the help of just a couple tools.

If you get that set-up you mentioned...ask them if it is mandrel bent pipe.

Crushed bends will lose a little power over mandrel bent pipes.
I know my duals were crushed bends and cost me $600. But I run with cutouts for the track.

hm yeah im definitely hoping i can find something cheaper than that lol but this is a daily driver, and 305 hp is just fine for me for now =) so bent pipes shouldnt be too bad

oh yeah and new question... 2000 TA- gas mileage rated about 18 mpg city, but i seem to be getting closer to 13. and my friend who works at an fbody shop ran an engine scan and some stuff came up about the ...o2 regulator? but we havent really looked too far into it, could this be costing me my gas efficiency?
i do accelerate and drive hard every once in a while, but i dont think its enough to cost me so much gas. and he also said GM underrated its gas mileage, although i dont know whether that's true or not?

You have an automatic would be my guess.
I have no idea what an O2 regulator would be. Let me know what the exact code is.

Has nothing to do with your sex.

I assumed by the gas mileage you gave me. My manual got 24 around town and 31 on the highway when stock. Autos get a good amount less, so I assumed.

You mentioned something about an O2 error.
You might be running rich thanks to that.

Is your service engine soon light on?? If so, can you get a code?

running rich? as in using too much gas?

    no check engine light
or any kind of service light

inspection was clean, but im not sure what they inspected really...

im using the requested premium gas, but my boyfriends dad said you can go half and half- half reg/half prem. is that true? or is it bad for the engine?

    My own personal opinion.....

Bassani sounds the bests. But if I was gonna spend the $$ I'd get true duals.

just run premium all the time. the only time ive used anything less was when I almost ran out of gas and only had 5 bucks so i put in low grade to get as much as i could for the money.

Premium at all times. The computer has a table for low octane, but it doesn't like it.

Not sure why your mileage is so low.
What was that O2 thing you mentioned?? What is that about?

well im not 100% sure... but my friend who ran the scanner said it was something about fuel regulation and how much it sends into the engine. so i'd assume if it was sending too much, it would run through gas quicker?

    Correct.

But the computer regulates the amount of fuel using several sensors.
