whats wrong with people

I recently put my car on ebay, dont need to sell but i really dont drive the car.I have realized that most people are just plain stupid .Why do people keep asking me if my car is aclone, since when has a TRANS AM been a clone.Since i could remmember a trans am is a trans am WS6 is an option therefore my car is not a clone.A clone is a car that wants to be a trans am.In conclusion my car is a TRANS AM, not a CLONE.

One question: is the car a WS6? From what you stated, I couldn't tell if you were saying you have a regular TA, and just mentioned the WS6 option, or were saying that you have a WS6....

that's how you know you're dealing with the dumb. i can understand in the camaro world of an SS clone. but with the 4th gen's, T/A's have a different front clip, and most of them have a different spoiler.

Do all T/A's have leather?

Ive seen some talk in another thread that may relate...

"WS7 is a legitimate RPO but NOT for the 4th gens.
Too Me a true Clone would have a WS6 Badge which I wouldn't have a Problem with as long as the Seller doesn't misrepresent the car.

The mods that come with the ws6 are the key piece. Of course you could get a base trans am to out perform the ws6 with your own set up and then who would be the clone?

Okay, then that really makes no sense at all that someone would ask if your car was a clone! I could understand people asking if it was a WS6 clone if you had added an aftermarket Ram Air hood, but if it's a regular Trans Am w/o the "WS7" mods, then those people are idiots LMAO....

maybe they're referring to the color.

Purple Metallic is pretty damn rare and only available in '98. Only 12 of the WS6s made.

I was going to mention that as well...since only 12 Purple Metallic WS6s made it off the line before Pontiac switched the color to Navy Blue Metallic, a lot of people have never heard of your paint color and would believe it to have been repainted at some point.
