    Whats wrong with my Transam?

I just installed a spec stage 3 on my 99 Transam about a month ago, and now when ever i rip on the car It almost impossible to slam gears. Not even powershifting, im just talkin speed shifting. Its like when i go to hit the gears it hits a wall and I have to force it in gear. I was told I my need a master cylinder? ANy input would help thanks Jon

and i'mm broke as a joke so i'm hoping that it'll hold out for a while, mine only seems to grind second gear when i'm ripping it in front of my buddies goody, they say i cant drive (cryyy) and if i tell them what is really going on they say i'm making excuses, so its a very akward situation

I did not replace my master cylinder when i did the clutch, also shifting normally is not a problem. If I was to shift early say 5000 rmps, it seems to go in fine as well. Its once I get to 6000 and 6200. I had the rev limiter raised for my cam. Is that drill mod hard?

i hope you broke in the clutch by going easy for 400 to 500 miles. its real bad to beat up on a new clutch right away.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

you have the 99 synchros, which are like my 2000's-they are literally made of carbon and deteriorate, unliek the 01-02's that got the brass synchros That could be the problem-i'm having the same issue, it feels like i hit a wall, then it goes in gear, pisses me off so fuckin' much too.

also, check to make sure you don't have a broken tranny mount. when i replaced mine, HOLY SHIT did it shift smoother. that's a $22 repair. buy a polyurethane [sp?] mount, and you can install it yourself-just make sure you put a jack under the transmission B4 you remove the brace.

More than likely it is the slave cylinder and the master cylinder. YOu should updated to the 01 and later slave and atleast do the drill mod on the slave. It doesn't get enough fluid and on hard acceration the clutch goes away. I am installin a new Spec 3 Plus with a new flywheel, slave, and master. Don't want any problems with this later. It has a SPec 3 in it now and it has never felt right. You did install the shim that they included in the kit right for the slave cylinder?

I broke in the clutch very easily in stop and go traffic. I actually went for 600 miles instead of the recommended 500, I do believe its the master cylinder, you think it may be a slave as well? I did install the shim that came with the clutch. Do you think I should just replace my old parts with STOCK 01+ master and salve cylinders or upgrade them both to aftermarket? What are some good websites I can check out... Jon

i don't think syncro material is the issue here, and do you mean the blocker rings or what?

will it shift but have a hard time and grind? or not go into gear at all

could be something with the clutch parts, shit linkage/shift rail

clutch could not be fully disengauging as well
