whats going on with my car

I drove my car to work today, but when i got off and went to start it, it rolled over a few times sounded like it was about to start up and then just died. I went to turn it back on but nothing was happening it was like there was not even a battery in it. when i got it jump later it was running a bit higher rpms then normal and then while i was driving it, the lights would blink on and off along with my stereo. As i was driving into a parking lot that same day, the car just shut off and was acting like there was no battery agian nothing was happening. I'm driving a 98 Firebird Formula, so any info or help u car offer would be great.
