whats the difference?
ive been looking around to find the difference between the firehawk and the trans-am and the firebird but i cant find it. the sticky doesnt really tell me. I know the t/a and firehawk are obviously better then the regular firebird but whats all this stuff mean.. im just trying to learn about these cuz im trying to get a new car and the birds have always been a great love of mine (next to the e36 bmw's). so whats the technnical differences between all these versions of cars?

Navy Blue Metallic- `98 Formula M6 HdTp
Maybe this will help
Firebird = V6
Firebird Formula = V8
Firebird Trans Am = V8
The WS6 and Firehawks are pkgs available on Formula's and Trans Am's
they are mostly mild suspension upgrades and Ram Air Hoods, but that does not mean they are Faster then a Regular V8 Car.Craig

well at 16 personally i would get a firebird the Ls1 is a big responsibility for a first time driver and also the gas prices, but if its what u want go for it, there firehawk is deffinatly at the top of the price range man. id say the price of the formula and trans am are pretty much about the same

Have fun finding a formula. I've only seen one with a ls1 in it. Hell, I think I have only seen 2 or 3 with the lt1.

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
f all this..get yourself a ls1 for your first...it WILL force you to respect the power it puts out and will force you to become a good driver

good point u will have to become a good driver un less u get stupid in that case ur be dead, a ls1 is not a play toy till u know the car in side and out, any ways a formy's is the chepses ls1 car u can get, around my way a formy goes for 8-10 k a t/a goes for 14-20 ever if its a non ws6

Navy Blue Metallic- '00 Formy A4
If you want a Bird, get a Formula or T/A. The other special editions will be more expensive, and not much (if any) faster.
The Formula should be the cheapest, but they're sometimes hard to find. They made way more T/A's, than Formulas, so you might be able to get a good deal on one of those.
If all you want is a LS1 car, look at Z28's. They're the cheapest and most plentiful of the LS1 cars.
Me, I'd get the Formula. Then again, I'm a bit biased.

silver- 2002 firebird
I guess that depends on the one looking to buy ! I would not have a TA for the simple fact it has leather "my skin dose not like it) so I had to look a while to find the right one ! I ended up with a formula ls1 now if I could have found a formula ws6 with low miles <30k I would have sprung for another 5k
