What kind of gas mileage are you T/A guys averaging?

Title kinda says it all..... If it matters i'm wondering on 2002 T/A's as that is what I am interested in

Also what is the stock mpg? And this is for manual cars only not auto. Thanks in advance

I have a Z28, but it will be the same for any LS1 with a 6spd.

    On the highway:
I have hit 30mpg and many others have too.
    Average is 26-28ish.

City mileage varies too much depending on traffic etc. But i get about 13 in my nasty traffic.

Our 2002 WS-6 with the auto got 22 on it's maiden voyage from Reno to Salt Lake City. We bought it in Reno and I almost never got under 85 mph.

i'm curious as i always see you guys posting high city #s. What the heck do you consider city driving? I know my #s are low at around 13 because i live in a highly populated city with a ton of traffic.

Never over 2500 RPM's. Hell...I can stay with traffic no problem now shifting at 2,000 RPM's.

    Denver is fairly populated.

yea i've gone a few tanks where i never went above 2000rpms, but i can never get even 20mpg. But i'm not complaining - i don't give a rats ass about my fuel economy. Thats not why any of us bought these cars.

make sure you keep up on your preventive maintenance. dirty airfilters, fuel filters etc. can slowly eat away at fuel economy as well as performance!

I am averaging about 19 MPG with a combination city/highway driving. I have a pretty much stock 2002 TA with a 4 speed AT. Only real mods are Bilstien shocks, K&N air filter, and a MagnaFlow muffler.

On a trip out to Vegas years ago, I got around 26 MPG and that was even racing with a Corvette up into the triple digit warp speed range for small portions of the trip. Mostly the trip was right around 75 to 80 Mph.

I recently had to run on my spare for a while where I was keeping my speed to 65 or lower. I did gain 1.5 to 2 MPG while going slow.

Mines an lt1, but I always average around 18, my highway miles arent really highway, because its still go 1/4 mile then stop light or so and my average trip anywhere is like 5 miles. However not really much city driving, the towns here arnt that big.
