What exhaust should I put on?
I bought a 2000 WS6 a few weeks ago. I'm just gathering some thoughts from you guys to what's the best exhaust to put on it. I don't want anything too loud and over the top but I don't mind spending money either. Just simply want the best sounding exhaust in your guys' minds. Thanks.

Im trying to figure out my exhaust too. Im going with true duals. Ive found that bassani sounds pretty good, and so does borla. I dont know about kooks or hookers but hear they are also good. The loudmouth stuff sounds too raspy. I like the old muscle bad ass sound with a deep loud rumble!

Hmm, I think your a bit confused on the differences between True Duals and Catbacks. Bassani makes a True dual catback system that will run you around $900 uninstalled. It comes with an X pipe that connects to the stock (or modified) cats and headers and runs back as two seperate pipes over the axle into a single muffler that is seperated for each pipe and on to tips. Borla Adj. is a catback system that runs from the stock Y all the way to the rear.
Custom true duals are way different. In this kind of a setup you are givin a choice of what exactly you want and how much you want to spend. Your best option to start with is the TSP true duals that are already fabricated for mufflers and connection to the headers. Your headers can remain stock or be changed. You can also gut, remove, replace or keep your CATS. The beauty of duals is you can dump whatever muffler set up you have right off the end of the mufflers or you can have piping fabricated to go under or over your rear end for tips.
Anything else you need clarified?

Not sure, but i want a different setup than what ls1sounds.com has. I understand that borla is a y pipe exit system. But theres another system thats called pro borla and I liked that one for duals. Im not really sure what can alll be done with the CATS. I would like to keep mine if I could, but it isnt needed. What would be the benefits of removing the CATS?

Better flow = more power. I would make sure that your state doesn't have emissions laws regarding cats before considering it tho. You can run True Duals with cats or without. The system I think you are refering to it a custom setup with Borla XR-1 Bullet Mufflers. I could be wrong tho. My exhaust set up is going to be true duals now that I know I can run them and still pass emissions. Colorado is just about as bad as friggin California. Can't wait to see if they actually do away with the emissions system or not like they say their going to.

If you EVER plan on getting longtube headers, avoid the loudmouth at all costs. I actually had to cut off my loudmouth it sounded so bad.
For me...Magnaflow.

I love my Magnaflow Cat-back. Sounds great! Not obnoxiously loud, not too tame. Just right!
Plus you really can't beat the price. I mean Borla costs way to much, Loudmouth isn't too bad for price if you like the sound.
From everything I have heard, I would stay away from Flowmaster - I don't have facts to prove it, but I have heard rumors that it can actually hurt performance.

I have Magnaflow on my 04 dodge HEMI. Sounds amazing. So I was thinking about putting magnaflow on my t/a as well. I think that's my best bet.
