here is an ad from last fall im guessing. there is a pic of the door sticker and you can see in the last line of rpo codes the first one is WS6 then WS9 next to it. ya i have never heard of the those tires either but i can get a deal on tires thru my work so im not too worried about em.

i work at kia and they have a awesome detail shop so i wanted i could get it all cleaned up and uncover some issues or anything.

I haven't personally looked lately, but that price seems a bit on the high side to me.

Maybe look for a non-ws6 car as there really isn't much difference between the two, all things considered. Plus, you'll most likely find cars for a lot less.

Good luck on whatever you decide.
    this!....

At least it wasnt multiple brand names on the tires. I worked at dealerships for over 17 years and really gave the service/sales dept's a hard time when they would do that.

Maybe it's just me, but if I owned a dealership and was selling used cars, I surely wouldn't be spending $1000+ to throw good rubber on the car. It's an establishment in the business to make money. They get a car at a low price on a trade-in or something similar and they need to turn that car quickly, and for a profit.

This is why I would most likely buy from a private party. The other way a dealership makes their money is through financing. If they are offering "guaranteed" financing, I can "guarantee" their rate will be raping you.

I know its gonna be high. But with tax money this is going to the only way I will ever be able afford the down payment on a ws6. Maybe I can talk them down on the price by offering more on the down payment. Their calling it their first time buyer program! Lol

I just bought a 2001 Trans Am last week and financed it through Navy Federal. To help you with your decision here is package i got from a private seller:
    WS-6
    Ram-Air
    Mileage: 62,000
Condition: Good (minor abrasions and paint fade on right side of vehicle)
    Price: 7,000
    Interest: 3.7%
Monthly Payments: $130.00 for 60 months
In my honest opinion they are asking a bit too high. KBB, Edmunds, and Your bank should give you descent appraisals on the vehicle if you want a good starting point on negotiations on prices. About the financing make sure they allow you to pay the car off early if you can because some dealers penalize buyers on paying more or early. Also take the contract to your bank for their review just in case they see something you don't. Good luck and hope this helped ya.
