    What do you guys think??

    ive got a buddy with an 04 cobra that makes right at 490-500hp on the motor, I think his mods are intake exhaust a pulley and a tune, my ws6 makes 420rwhp and 390rwtq (6 speed). and he wants to run from a roll race.. who do yall thinks gonna take it?
    1999 mbm Z m6/ forged 346, lt's, wires, ls6 intake, sts rear turbo.

    but its a comp cam and pretty choppy, but its a pretty high rpm cam cuz i made my peak power at 7,050. and i shift at 7,000

    sorry took so long, heres my mod list...
    Kooks lt's with y pipe and slp resonater, true ram air no lid (just a vette filter), plugs, wires, cammed, ported stock heads, electric water pump, throttle body, stock MAF, stock ls6 intake. stock tranny and rear end except for a centerforce clutch and slave and a short throw shifter. made 420rwhp and 390rwtq on a "daily driver tune" because i wanted it to be the most streetable because i drove in traffic everyday but now i wish i just would have went all out.

    because he lives where i used to live which is 3 hours away and i only go up there on the weekends to see my girl till she graduates this year.

    Equal drivers, he'll probably take you. Not by enough to be too embarrassed over, but he has the edge.

    If you have a driver mod over him though, then it oughta be fairly close. Still hard to bet against a modded termi though.

    I got a buddy that has a term that is making 503/490 at the wheels. I make 435/385 at the wheels in my TA. Full exhaust,dart 225 heads,good size cam, fast intake and trtl body 90mm, 36lbs injectors and 9" with 370 gears . From my experience..... he's going to beat you if hes got tires. he makes more power and guarenteed more TQ cause of that blower. Save your cash and run for fun. If he wants to go from a roll and can shift ok, you'll lose .Only thing you'll acomplish is making your pocket lighter.

    he only has a little hp advantage over me... i make about 470-480 on the motor and he makes 490-500. hes got stock gears. so i think it should be super close. cuz dont mustangs weigh alittle more?

    Thanks , thats what I read also, you said you wre making 420/390. Did that change? They arent that much heavier, it's not a challenger. He's still got you on the TQ I bet though. Street tires though, if you have D.R'S i'd say your alright then.

    if you make 420/390 N/A then that is what you make ON motor..

    if you make 420/390 N/A then you make 500 or so AT the flywheel..

    two totally different meanings..

    the cobra is going to win from a roll for sure... you may get him from a dig depending on driver.. but he will be coming around you at some point..

    no i was just just makin sure you knew the mustangs hp was on the motor not ground. and im not on drags but i got new nitto street tires than hook alright but were gonna race from like a 55 roll. and he spins alot, i dont to much with these new tires
