What to do?
Ok so finally today I got a chance to take the bird to the car wash and as soon as it was over I noticed the Service Engine Soon light came on so I didn't really understand why it would come on and the thing is the previous owner said something like it would come on when one of the parts on the engine that triggered the light got wet, just wondering if this might be true or if it needs to be diagnose. It happened not too long ago and after a couple of days the light turned off and there seems to be no problem like the engine sounds fine, no over heating, oil pressure is fine/ has new oil, rad fluid has been replaced, so just wondering what I should do. Thanks guys

Head to advance auto parts or autozone and get a free diagnostic check to see if you popped any codes.

If the knock sensors get wet, they will pop a SES light right.

Yeah guys today I was driving it and the light turned off so I guess it was because something got wet.

my 96 firebird v6 would freak the hell out when it rained, ses light would start flashing and the car would run like crap, never found out why, cracked a head a few months later and traded that car very quickly.
