    Viper,
I checked out that car on your other thread. I think it would be worth the price he is asking. Try to get him to come down, but he probaly won't unless you do the wait and see game. Call him in a couple of months and see if he'll go cheaper then. If he refuses make him an offer and tell him to call you when he decides to sell it for that price. I would just get it checked over and try to get more history on where his miles came from. They are not really that high anyway. Looks like a nice car!

Just to update I made an offer on that car to start the neg. process and he basically told me to go F*ck myself.

The dude is such an A$$hole and thinks his car is the shit because he has an exhaust cutout on the stock system. Also is trying to tell me that his car is beating the GMMG Blackbirds in terms of power and performance.

You can find a better deal. If your patient the right deal will come along to you. I found my baby on ebay in dayton and had to drive an hr just to check it out. Every dealer I went and checked out their T/A they were a$$holes. Go with private dealer.

I just bought mine on Saturday for 3k with 98,755 miles on it. Everything's good on it except the right fender (lifted Excursion backed into 2 Wednesdays ago). It use to belong to a friends wife, she wanted a truck.

    Ouchie, the broken fender

I think I'm getting a pretty sweet deal...picking up my Pewter 01 WS6 with only 16,400 mil and getting it for 12,900. It's in beautiful condition.

That sounds like a great deal. 12,900 is a real good price for that year and low miles.

Be a bit more specific. In what way? Appearance, engine...etc.

I think 01 and 02's have the LS6 intake. I know they have to be tuned differently as well, at least with ls1 edit. ie, the LS1 edit I have for my 02 Z won't work on a 2000, but should do nicely for the 01 WS6 I'm picking up Friday. (YAY) They all have LS1's. Not sure exactly what you're asking, so it's kinda hard to answer. 1993-1997's have the LT1 engines.

Yeah, did very well. They book for 17-19K for that condition and milage.

Kinda got lucky, this guy has a delorean, a countach, an SS and about 5 other sweet vehicles sitting in his driveway and garage. His wife was pissed and told him a few had to go.

1993-1997 all have LT1 engines. Better for low end torque, but has the dreaded optispark!

1998-2002 all have LS1 engines. Not as big a low end torque monster as an LT1 but still has plenty of power and better top end power. Better gas milage, more efficient.

Appearance wise, the LS1's (WS6) have beefier looking hood scoops and more rounded stlying on the front fascia. Personally, I like the look much better than the LT1's.

Engine and internals would be better described by someone who knows more that I do.
