I have not used a Gator belt personally, but everyone I know that runs them says they love them. Never seen anything bad on here about them.

When I need a belt I grab a goodyear gatorback. I ran them on my 2000 GTP with no belt slippage.

I have used several diffent belts. Never had a problem with the goodyear but didn't see any huge difference. Think the best thing I got was the adj. belt tensioner and got rid of the spring tensioner and either belt will slip less.

Gator back on both my T/A and my 04 Tahoe Z-71. I put a dayco on my tahoe about 2 years ago, with in a month it started chirping. Took it back and they gave me a new one within 2 weeks the new one started doing the same thing, took it off and got a gatorback, no noise with gator.

Autozone doesn't carry them so the guys there just wanted to sell you on a Dayco or Duralast. I don't know why Goodyear would stop making what I imagine is one of their best selling products. Dayco's are a good belt but the gatorback is better.

Gator is my preference as well. I have had problems with Dayco and Kelly belts being noisy in the past.

when i first got my TA i had all kind of squeeking noise.. went through several dayco belts. replaced every pulley and tensioner and housing and still had squeeks.. ordered a Gatorback form summit auto, never had a noise since then.. i gave $45 bucks for it though, but like a friend of mine said, you get what you pay for.. will never use a different kind of belt again.

Gator is the only way to go. I also had squeaking and replaced pulleys and tensioner. Picked up a gator on ebay for under 30 bucks and the engine has been running quite ever since. A must have belt especially if you are running more than stock HP!!

GM belts are by far the best...
