want to buy locking gas cap help needed!
well i just came from autozone i bought the locking cap part# 5504 and the damn thing would not come off, thankfully i tried now as opposed to if i was fueling up, i drove back to the store and after 2 store employees 10 minutes into it they got the cap off, has anyone bought a locking gas cap that works as intended thanks for the help guys

They steal it everywhere, they even drill holes in the tank to drain it.

I got one from napa. it was like $11.
just got one just in case. mine works fine, but you have to make sure to crank it the required amount of times to lock it, and stuff.

is this for your 95? cause they are different the older t/a camaros had a screw on gas cap

Stant is crap had 3 of there caps for my girls new jeep and all were crap the one on my car wooks fine cant read the brand but it looks like it starts with a g or something it came in a acdelco box

Red- 1998 trans am
had the same problem with my 98 trans am all u have to do is sand down the side tabs , it seems the reproduce them with the side tabs alittle to big just file them down a little and it will fit perfect.

I bought mine from NAPA, a little stiff but works great. Amazing how much my mileage improved with it. Put a locking one on my truck as well, after the cap was stolen and tank drained one night.
The losers here can be real jerks about it.
