    V6 Burnout?

Can you do a burnout in a stock V6 automatic 1999 firebird like I see all these mustangs that are stock do them but the bird can't do one, just one. I really want to do atleast one and I just want to know if I can. I have tried putting it in drive holding the brake down so the car doesn't move and pushing on the gas as i slowly let off the brake but nothing happens. Also I am wanting to do it on dry payment because its really easy on wet payment (just punch it no brake). Not going to show off (can't afford it) but just really want to know if i can and how or if i can't. Thanks Guys

Its not good for your brakes, and only one wheel will spin like all the v6's, but hold down your brake hard, and hit the gas slowly for a second till you feel a slight jump, then just punch it to higher RPMs, I did it once in overdrive first gear and worked fine, spun, smoked, i guess thats what your looking for

My y87 (auburn) does a 2-legged burn out with shitty sport tires.. With ASR off I can get tire anytime from a dig. I even get sideways.. Sounds like someone may need a tune.. Only with my sticky auto-x tires does it not spin..

    This.......

I could get a city block worth of burnout with a tiny 2.8l Camaro doing a brake stand with drums out back. 3800II should have no trouble.. But brake stands are a little harder to do with disk brakes out back for us..

yes, it is incorrect.... ALL 3rd and 4th gen Firebird formulas were V8s. and it is very odd that the title lists it with formula, i have never seen something like that. hope you didn't pay extra for a "formula" lol.

Use a line lock from SLP. That way you can lock front brakes and do a proper burn out. Yes V6's can do 'em, my 96' did it all of the time to many mustangs embarrassment without a line lock.

If your under power you might need to take care of some tune up issues.

Those 3800s are pretty stout for a 6 cyl.

ummm if you are a v6..it is not a formula PERIOD ..that tells me someone has messed with that car ...i would guess either 1. you just have very sticky tires or 2. your engine is tired or in desperate need of a tune up

How much wieght are you lugging around in the hatch as far as system?? You'll prolly have lots of trouble with all that weight back there too..
You're only putting ~180 of that 200hp to the road.. Even less if the engine/drive train is worn..

You'll need full exhaust and headers to get that ~20% back + a tranny (auto) tune...
