I don't even know what you have done to your car. no reason not to have a fun run at the drag strip. lol.

I got mine in almost perfect condition for 3600. it was a great buy. I talked the lady down from 5000 though because of the interior.

what year? the most powerful lt1 in an f-body was 305 in the 97ss. they normally come out a little lower than that. the ls1's start at 310 or 315. someone else can be more helpful on this. the ls1 does make more power stock for stock every time.

they were WAAAAY underrated.... its so the vette buyers didnt feel bad about spending 25,000 more dollars for a car with the same amount of HP.. lol.. in MY experience... vettes usually get beat.. stock for stock... and of course driver has a lot to do... *unless its two A4s.....

I am just going by what they are rated at. my uncle's 02 ss put out 340hp after doing cai and catback. corvettes have dual exhaust with x-pipe. that makes them have a little more power from the factory. they also weigh less. one big factor though in a race though is that corvette drivers normally aren't the best drivers. f-body owners I think buy it for the driver's experience. the vette does have more power though because of the exhaust system. you can make more with a bolt on f-body. I know that for a fact.

actually more like 40. that is just the rating from the factory. I won't go into modding it. the lt1 actually makes around 260. the 96-97 has around 280 in the z28. the 97 ss is at about 300. 94 has a lot of restrictions on it that can be removed when doing exhaust. ie they have a single very restrictive cat that takes alot of power away from the motor.

edit: buy an ls1 if you want. they are faster factory for factory.

you cant go by ratings... you cant say they weigh less and have an xpipe so the are faster... you think of IRS??? kills them at the track... i have raced numerous stock vettes when i was stock... M6s and A4s... i only lost once.. he had CAI gears exhaust and DRs...

    ls1 vettes were overrated..
