unusual headlight motor problems
I have another bad motor, but here's some more problems I haven't heard of.
I replaced the gear in the stock motor.
Worked well for a few days and then the same grinding noise when the headlight goes down.
The funny thing is that when i use the key fab either to lock or unlock the headlight flip up then down and grind again.
Then I bought a reman motor and the same thing after a week.
I asked the seller about it and he said its the sounds of a bad gear and we would replace it.
But he's never heard of the key fab problem and thinks that its causing the motor failure.
But it only happens once the motor starts grinding.
I'm at a loss now after two motors/replacements and I don't wanna keep going through motors. Its super annoying so I'm hoping someone can help. I hope I don't have an electrical problem but if anyone has ever heard of this or has a fix I will be in your debt. The car has 165k mi and this only started happening in the last month or so.

To prevent future issues...
Do not turn your lights on when driving over 15mph or put your windows up over 35mph. Since I've followed this I have not had a problem with either one.

With the brass gears, I don't think you will have ANY issues. I haven't. I would say this was easily the best mod I did to my car. It is soo aggravating to pull up to the gas station, and the goddamned shining, mean looking bird goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR when I arm the alarm. And, if you don't arm the alarm, it does it on its own about thirty seconds later anyways.
