I was talking to Ryan at the UMI booth yesterday. Thought about going for a ride along again with Ramey at the autocross track, but never made it over. They are really good guys.

Your progress sounds great. I wish I had money to blow on mine so bad! It doesn't need anything, I just want to get on with some things already!

TICK MC is in! Took the old stocker out through the bottom! New one was a bear to get in...then it just "fell" into place! Holes lined right up!😱

2 1/2 hours to finagle the transmission back in place!😳. The 12 o'clock and 2 o'clock bolt flanges were against the tranny hump...but the input shaft hadn't cleared the fingers on the clutch yet!😱. But it's in!😊

I will be needing Alleve before bed, my body hurts! I think it would be easier and less time consuming to just lower the K member, motor and all, next time! Holy shit, please no next time!😢

Thanks man! I still have to get the last 4 upper bolts in...then put all the rest back together!

Gotta admit though, it's kinda rewarding! Hope it all works when I'm done!😋

A lift is starting to sound like a great idea! I'm sore!😢😊

I have been completely spoiled by having a lift in my garage.

My garage is not tall enough for a lift... but maybe one of those scissor lifts could work...

Bell hosing is torqued to spec! (1/2" socket is still on the 12o'clock bolt!😳, I gave up struggling with it)
Starter is in, new UMI TA is in! Drive shaft I'd in!

Tomorrow, the last brace goes in, then the car gets let down to the ground...after fluids of course!

Getting psyched...I wanna drive her! The first 500 miles of clutch break-in are gonna be tough!😳

What's the spec for clutch pedal free-play on our cars?

I haven't gotten that far yet. According to Tick, it's more a "feel" thing! Their MC moves more fluid and can over-extend the slave and damage the pressure plate!

"Start car in neutral and adjust turnbuckle until it shifts into 1st and reverse easily...then adjust for high rpm shifting! Do NOT over adjust!"

Hopefully I'll be there tonight or tomorrow, I'm trying not to hurry! The last two nights have been late ones! I'm eating dinner at 9:30, showering, then off to bed by 10:30-11! Normally I try to be unconscious by 10! (Up at 5:30!&#128563

That's interesting. Usually they have a spec for around an inch or so of pedal free play.

I'll have to read up, but Tick also says the pedal will be lower than stock, and engage quicker with a "heavier" pedal! I'm thinking back to my 4500lb Hayes clutch in my old '70 1/2!
