trans am steering wheel?

Does anybody know if a stock trans am steering wheel from a 97 trans am with stereo buttons fit onto and function a 95 trans am as they air bags look different and the audio buttons as well? I just like the look of the newer steering wheel more, would stereo buttons connections clip togeather? thank you, my dealership didnt know? I have been trying to find the wiring diagram so see if the connectors are the same but no luck yet? 4 more months to go and we can get our cars out JUNE

I would think they are interchangeable assuming GM didn't change the stereo during those years. The cable going from the stereo controls to the stereo is what will tell you for sure.

Sorry, I'm kind of guessing, but that would make sense to me. I'm not sure I can see any reason why they would change the connector anyway. Hopefully, someone will have something more concrete for you than this.
