    well, i have a 02 TA auto.
and my dad now has his 05 goat.
and my personal opinion from one okie to another is this.
daily driven slightly mod'd car would go to the GTO i friggin love that car almost enough to give up my TA
    ...BUT
every time i get a chance to drive my TA on a nice warn sunny day. i like to bring the bad bitch out(sorry for language but someone named my car that) and it reminds me why i have her.
so for racing reasons i enjoy my bird way more seeing as it is a little cheaper to mod.
GTO is the winner in my book for DD though. get exhaust for sound tune for better performance..and if you really need to go fast on the street with it buy that popular magnacharger kit for the GTO:P
    i hope my opinion helps.
BTW since you live in Noble do you see a yellow late 90's mustang with dumps and a body kit/silver stripes down it?

I have to agree with you. Driving the TA on a nice day with the T-Tops off makes me smile every time. Hearing the V-8 rumble with the T-Tops off and some heavy metal blaring is truly awesome. If I was going to go on a trip though, I would drive the Goat. Comfortable as hell and the TA gets 17 MPG at best. For fun factor and looks, WS6 hands down though. That is why I own both. I cant decide which one to give up. If I can sell them both and get a C5 Z06 I will be happy though. I drove one the other day and fell in love with it.

Yeah an Auto with a 3400 stall that is running rich right now. I need another tune. I remember my 99 M6 got around 26MPG highway.. Plus I like to get into it a lot which doesn't help

^^^ I was going to chime in but Mr. Luos beat me to it. I have gotten as good as 32.9 MPG interstate driving without getting into the throttle M6 for ya

Yeah... I had a 2000 M6 as well as a 99 M6 before the current car and the gas mileage was a lot better. I had a lot of trouble with the T-56 on both cars though so when I found the Auto for the price I got it at I decided to buy it... Then I missed shifting gears so I bought the GTO.

So you guys are telling me if an 06 GTO raced a 02 TA and they both were dyno tuned they would run about the same et at the track? All because of a few hundred pounds extra on the GTO! Never would have guessed that!
