THX for the post! I already have a tune guy lined up if I go that way. I found 2 06 GTO's both around 35K miles, 1 manual and 1 auto both priced around 20K, both black(which I think looks best on those cars). THX again. PS; Oklahoma wants a rematch Tebo vs Bradford!

Need a back seat! Already owned a 98 Corvette (convertible), nice car but over-rated in my opinion. Z06 would probably be hotter! Why not a C-6?

because you can get a c5 z06 for around 20k, c6 z06s are still very pricey.

That was one of the best football games I have seen in a while. Especially since FL won!

I'd opt for the lighter car with t-tops. You gotta love the t-tops, thats what originally sold me on f-bodies when I was a kid. lol

Stock for stock... GTO hands down.

    Gonna mod it? GTO.

    Going for looks? T/A.

The GTO is much newer, rides better, better interior, etc...
In a race of completely stock cars, the GTO has a VERY slight edge, but because of the weight of the GTO, the extra 30RWHP makes them about even.

i would go with the Trans Am. the GTO looks like a giant cavalier to me. plus i love the T/A body ( cause i have one ), everything about it look more aggressive

WOW, and I thought GM was a American company. Someone call the white house and tell them GM is a Canadian Company. Also, next time I can tell my friends the Goldwing is a American bike. I guess Toyota is a Amercian auto make. I am sure that will make them happy. No matter where the Firebird is made it is a real american car. Noone went to Austria, saw a car they liked and slapped a firebird sticker on it.

Well, in my line of work, I have driven T/As, Maros, Vettes, etc. I get kinda chlosterphobic. I bought my GTO because I like the bodylines and I know where the front and rear end. Plus the car iteslf reminds me of my old Chevy Beretta GTZ. I dunno why the GTO is considered mid-size. It's not that much longer than my old Beretta.
