    If you don't have the switch you don't have traction control. ASR/TCS cars have RPO NW9 on the door.

    If you have 2.73s, it might make you think your car is slow until it gets moving.......

    What gears do you and the Formula have? If you have 2.73's and he has 3.73's then it isn't a traction control problem at all. Its due to him being lighter, and having the better gears installed. You can check the gears from the RPO sticker. A Formula with 3.73's can take you for a walk if your TA has 2.73's. Depending on the driver too he could also take you for car lengths if you don't have the experience.

    Look at the RPO codes on the driver door.

    GU2=2:73s
    GU5=3:23s
    GU6=3:42s
    CCW SP 500s 18x10 275/35 18x11 295/35
    SLP CME with GMMG style catback

    I didn't think that ratio was available on a '98 F-body?? do you have an auto or manual trans?
