What makes you think it needs "back pressure"?

While you do need a minimum distance from the front O2 sensor (the rears are there to measure cat effeciency only and have nothing to do with the function of A/F ratio) to the exhaust exit (so fresh air doesn't enter the pipe and skew the A/F ratio reading), needing back pressure is an old wives tale.

If an ICE needed "back pressure" then why do Top Fuel and Funny cars run straight pipes?????

^This. I'd say you're in need of a tune instead.

I think the reason that this continually gets brought up is the way that changes/mods will move the torque curve along the RPM range. But there is definitly some truth to expansion and cooling of gases. but backpressure... Im running open headers...just piped out the back

Since you took the cats off? If not, the car is still trying to run as if the cats were there - thus causing the loss of performance.

Unless you had Frost tune them out, that is.

    Hestitation

Hello, my ses light came on yestraday and when out that night drove it back home (3 hours) came back on and at 1500 rpm it has like a pulse or hestitation and then clears out when u give it gas and it does it at 2000 rpm when your light on the gas? Any ideas i had the ses light checked (my mechanic still looking up the codes). I thought i read on this site somebody has that problem and it was the mass air flow??
