2000 Grand Prix GTP- 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6
Time for a new bottom end
So, there's a hole in my stock block. My buddy and I have two different theories on how it got there. Either the starter mount points broke (one was in fact broken) and when I tried to start the car; the starter torqued over and smacked the block. The other possibility is that I threw a connecting rod. There are two things that point to this not being the problem. One, we can still turn the engine over by hand (breaker bar on the crank pulley bolt). Two, I never heard the god-aweful noise that comes with a rod breaking.
On the brightside, this opens the door for me to finally upgrade my stock bottom end to compliment the Head/Cam/Intake swap I did in 2009. I'm looking at a Texas-Speed 402 LS2 short block and just swapping all of my stuff over. I'm debating weather or not I want to keep my nitrous kit and spray on the new block or sell it to offset the price of the new build.
Pics of the carnage:

Since that won't buff out, grab the TIG and seal her back up. Problem solved.
Seriously, very sorry to see. Pics like that hurt to look at. RIP 346 cubes of fun.
