I wonder what leaving the TCS on would do at the strip. I know it would give more traction which is good but, seems too slow on acceleration with it on. What do you guys think? Never tried the quarter mile with it on before.

the tcs will slow you down at the track i tryed it one or two runs to see my self. i normaly run 13.5 to a 13.3 and with it on the best i cold get was a 14.3. and the modual is for the cars that have it. it will trick the sistem so when the tcs is supost to be on it would not be. its so you dont have to look at the tcs off lite in the dash all the time.

NW9 is the rpo code for my TCS. In my area we have alot of steep hills with lights at the top, it helps my wife from lighting up the tires if it's a little wet out.

Instead of going through the trouble of looking for it just look for the rpo code on the door NW9.

I wish I didn't have it. I've never used it. always have it off, but then there's that annoying yellow light blaring at me from the dash telling me it's off.

only thing different is the black box beside the optima in the picture...the one with all the linkages.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner. YES, the TCS servo is the little half-round black box just behind the battery in that pic w/ 3 cables going to it.

TCS was a seperate option with either transmission. If your car doesn't have a TCS switch, it doesn't have TCS. It can't get any simplier than that.

Theres alot more that I could do w/ $80 than save me a few punches of a switch once in awhile to turn it off.

With traction control, the electronic nannies won't let you do this:

Yea but TCS adds it's own level of excitement, nothing like getting on your car hard and having it fall on it's face thinking your broke something only to look down and see your little switch light on.

People are putting it behind the PCM.

    Thankfully, I don't have it.
