    I thought LED lights were brighter and puts off less heat. Plus they last longer. We try to replace all our indicaor lights with LED at work because of this reason

    Try touching the LED on your keyboard or monitor or computer speaker. There is basically no heat coming off LEDs.

    Corrosion is usally the root cause of a bulb not "burning" bright. Corrosion= resistance.

    LED's light brighter and cooler. Make sure they are the correct bulb.

    leds are the way to go!!! But the tail light lens has bulbs all the way around. 3157/3057/194

    3157/3057/194 are the trade numbers for bulbs.
    3057 is the tail/turn/stop bulbs and 194 is the sidemarker bulb.

    well i installed all led's on mine i work part time @advance auto and figured with discount might as well try em out and they are brighter and reasonably priced

    thats the truth. incandescent bulbs release something like 90% of their energy in the form of heat, as opposed to light. Its just how they work, they heat up a metal filament until its hot enough to emit light. LEDs work completely differently where they release light without actually heating anything.

    I dont think i really cared if my taillights were a lil dim but after reading this i think im gonna switch to led's just for this reason. lol.
