The air box sits a little higher to work with the ram air hood also.

Nothing that would inhance the performance significantly.

For a list of components check the stickies.
In general you can purchase aftermarket parts that are well above the WS6 equippment.

stock vs stock ws6 would have a slight advantage...but all the upgrades the ws6 has are going to be replaced anyway

    WS6 is king besides firehawk

The 01 and 02 WS6 and SS camaro have ran 12.95s in some magazine articles, the years before that from 98-00 Ive seen the best of 13.40 and seen 1 article on a 1997 WS9 that ran 12.98 but who knows bout that...theres really no telling, GM underrated everything them years, but the 01 and 02 LS1 cars had LS6 intakes and the WS6 had the 3:42 gears w alum driveshaft, better exhaust but still restrictive, wider tires, nicer wheels, meanest looking hood ever made...he ram air has actually been proved to make 8RWHP when on a mph controlled wind air blower on a dyno.....and some 01 and 02's came with Z06 block which had lighter weight and less cyclinder pressures,WS6 has very good suspension for track and road race use....they all differed though really...some regular T/A's rated at 310hp dyno'd at 295RWHP to the wheels, and ive seen 325hp SS camaros in 01-02 dyno 321RWHP....so its crazy...I've also seen a 345hp firehawk dyno 315RWHP and run 12.80's....its really wierd, but SS and WS6 always runs better than Z/28 or T/A...in 98-00 up to a .2 tenths difference but from 01-02 up to a half second difference, people with t/A's and Z/28's will send me all kinda negative messages bout this, but thats how it is...and the firehawk always beats the WS6 and SS by bout .3-.4 tenths somehow even though its just 15hp difference.....its just how it is...you can make them all equal as fast. But no car for the price ever looked as bad as a WS6 Trans Am.....soooooooo meannnnn lookingggggggggggg...but firehawk is still king till the WS6 puts the headers on, then its bye bye time......

All LS1's equipped with a manual transmission got 3:42 gearing and aluminum driveshaft. That means all SS's, Z28's, WS6's, TA's, Firehawks, and Formula's that had a manual transmission have 3:42 gears from the factory.

Unless you just really want the hood....get a TA and use the couple grand you save to do what you want.

I guess your not old enough to remember GM High Tech's drag test of a `99 Z28.
Evan Smith clocked a 12.89 @109 mph, Fastest published time for a stock F-body that I have seen.

All y'all are all forgetting about the all important power steering cooler, only on WS6 cars that I know. Probably the SS's and 'Hawks too, tho.

    Hood......17" wheels (I love my polished 17x9s!)......lower air box........PS cooler.......different sway bar/spring rates/shocks.

And the hood is definitely sex. Ever seen the hoods shadow with the sun just coming up behind the car? Looks like a massive camel toe! Sex indeed.
