i am guilty of taking them off at a stop light, lol.my younger brother can pop them off as fast as me. they just ride on top of the folded back seats for a bit.
Gotta have those things locked down or at least handles closed.
When I had my camaro, I lost three t-tops this way on different occasions.

Such a pain !!! Especially so because it was raining on two of the occasions, lol!

I've been told to keep the tops "key locked" because thieves could gain entry by pushing the latch open. Not sure how they would have..need something besides a coat hanger...I chalked it up to old wives tale...how ever I still "key locked" them cause of the area I used to live in....

I mean if your windows are completely rolled up that should help a lot!
They would then have to break your window and who knows what else
they would steal aside from your t-tops...

All you need is an old radio antenne with the ball on the tip...to get in....

this happened to me in the winter, i was having a bad day, and i was comming down 33 and i hear these quick gust of winds i was woundering wut it was next thing i kno by ttop flew off. the worse part was it was snowing, so i had to drive home with it snowing in my car, i was so pissed, but lucky i found a junk yard with a t-top that was $180 before i called the junkyard i called Dave Gill Pontiac cause i had to have a top, it was gonna cost me $300 for a single T-top i said fuk that, ill try a junkyard or ill put a trash bag and duct tape on it and call it a day.

When I was first reading this thread I thought your tops were coming off with the latch, but not key locked. That freaked me out because I never key lock mine, just use the handle lol.

Oh, a friend of mine had his sound system stolen because his tops weren't key locked.
