Do you really have to use super this these cars. gas prices suck just want to konw if you can get away witn reg or plus.

yes. it's a high performance engin-use High test gas. Their are multiple threads about this, do a search for it and you'll read why it's just better to shell out the cash.

it says right in the manual, use premium. anything less will kill the engine in the long run, burn more gas, and hinder performance

deffinitely use high-test because the LS1 is a 10.1:1 compression motor that will cause detonation (pinging) when using anything else. If you care about your car at all and want to keep it I would put the good stuff in it

Super is usually 20ยข more than regular which works out to ~$3 a fill up extra. Not that big a deal if you ask me.
