this sucks!

so now when I take off in first gear there is a big clunk and when i'm driving in any gear it is fine unless I let off of the accelerator while i'm still in gear then it make a really loud grinding/whining noise! my friend looked under the car for me he said my diff is fucked because we put the car on jack stands and the wheels are nearly impossible to spin forward but is easy to spin them backwards.......So he went under the car and told me to spin the wheel backwards and the forwards really fast and he said the drive shaft is moving up down and all around so I guess the bearing is bad and there is probably alot of metal shavings in the diff so it is fucked! but whatever I'm gonna have to save alittle and probably put in 4.11's! I'll keep you all informed! THIS SUCKS! Thanks

Check your transmission mount. It could explain your clunk but i dont know about the grinidng noise

Sounds like the tranny or torque arm mount. Gear whine is normal also.

well I completely fucked my rear end. stripped the gears and the trutrac. I now have a moser m9 with 4.11 I love it. sorry but i am not sure what is wrong with yours, but I can say if it is the rear then the m9 is a great fix. a bit $$$ but the felling of knowing you damn near cant break it is nice

don't ever have him rebuild a rear for you...

sounds like you have a broken trans mount...
