    Subframing a WS-6

    Hello,

I've been holding off on buying subframe connectors for my car (not much money right now) for a while, but noticed a crack in the sealer for the welds in the hatch area where the quarter meets the well. The body shop I took it to says its not too big of a deal, but it was due to body flexing and "high powered engine tomfoolery". I guess this is the sign that I really have to get a set in the next few months. Does anyone have any recommendations for what porduct to buy? I figure I would want a somewhat lightweight product thats more "go" and little "show". I also do want to pay a stupid amount of money for it as well, if I can. Being that I want to hold onto the car for an eternity, I wouldn't be opposed to getting a weld-on style, unless the bolt on ones are that much better (probably not), even thought I wouldnt be against a bolt-on that can be welded as well.

UMI makes great stuff -- I run their bolt in tubular SFC's in our car. Perfect fit and very simply to install.

Iv got umi three points too easy to install, only thing I did was swap out some of their galvanized bolts for stainless steel so they will last forever. Great product.

I drive my car only in the summers, he has never seen any snow or almost never any rain.
He has run about 38.000 km (23.750 miles), it is not my daily,

Thanks for all of the input!!!

So where might one be able to get UMI products?

Also, is the bolt in portion good enough or would it be advisable to also weld it in?

UMI is a site sponsor -- hit the link on our sponsor page (or click here: UMI Performance Inc. )and place your order. I will add that UMI designs and builds all its products right here in Pennsylvania.

Weld in is a little cheaper iirc, so if you plan to keep them on the car, I'd weld them. I paid for bolt in, and had them welded a week later :x

Once you start with the SFC you might as well start saving for PHB LCA's Sway bars etc... trust me there worth every penny you spend on there products!
