Screw the TB, first thing you need to do before anything else is open your exhaust up.

SLP is NOT very good. Worst quality/priced parts available for f-body's.

    Amsoil air filter
Cat back exhaust (Magnaflow or SLP loudmouth 2)
    Gears 4.10 or 3.73
    Mail order tune from Frost.
That should put you at right about $1000 maybe a little over. Unless you can find some of the stuff used.

Why would you pay 80 bucks for a smooth piece of rubber? Do not buy the SLP smooth bellows. They are worth next to nothing for HP. Not to mention the cost of the product. Go to Home depot and buy your tubing for 10 bucks if your that worried about some little "ribbing" robbing you HP. Also, there are better Lids out than SLP.

Stop being a fan of SLP. They ruined stuff straight from the factory... The wing on some firehawks( IMO ).

Their headers are complete crap. They fit like crap, and they make huge claims about "equal length". Unless your in Nascar or pro stock, forget about equal length headers. Pacesetters, hookers, ARH, best off all, kooks if you buy headers.

Do not go out and buy a TB first thing. You will see minimal gains from that. Open your exhaust up completely. You will love the sound and will actually gain HP. Exhaust can easily cost you 1000 bucks. Stuff aint cheap.

I say a good pair of LT headers, Y pipe and a good cat-back or a true dual set up. And a Lid.

Best advice in the last sentence right there in my opinion. With $1000 to spend and no mods yet, Pacesetter Long Tubes, Off Road Y Pipe, a cat back of your choice and a lid.

Misc charges to keep in mind you will need some O2 extensions, and a local tuner can tun off the rear O2's pretty cheap. Not sure how many miles are on the car you picked up but i would change the spark plugs and wires while doing the header install.

Then have fun with it for a while and save up to tackle the suspension. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for all the replys. I am going to do the exhaust first for sure. I love the deep sounds of V8's. The bike is still for sale also. If you are interested in some pics let me know.

Guys I have been looking at SFC's. I have found a lot of bolt on and weld in as well as 2 point and 3 point. What is the best application? From what manufacturer?
