    Steering Column Tilt Lock

    My last two trips to the track I have noticed that my steering wheel will tip down on launch. Apparently, I have pulled just a bit too hard on it when I launch the car. I have to make a conscious effort to re-position the wheel and not pull on it and then everything is fine. First time it happened I immediately lifted as it freaked me out. Anyone else have this issue?

    Mine dances as if it needs tightening. I can push down on it and the entire setup giggles up and down. I once saw an extensive tear down and fix on google via ls1 tech, but mine isn't too bothersome to tear apart just yet.

    Had to do that in our Monte - the bolts loosen up down deep in the column and it is a bit of an exercise to fix.
