    Starting Problem - 6 speed

Sometimes my car wont crank over. Then after a second it cranks over just fine. The battery and terminals are fine. No clicking or slow cranking. Could it be the neutral safety switch on the blink.

Could even be in the ignition switch, I suppose. I would start by swapping around the relays in the electrical box -- change the ignition/starter relays out by just swapping them with another of the same type in the box. Put a piece of tape or something on the one you remove so you can then change it out if that turns out to be the issue.

Is the security light on your dash on...? if so, that is the problem...if it will not turn over AT ALL and makes no sound, I would bet that its the VATS...

clean your key off with acetone or rubbing alcohol...rub the metal resistor towards the top of the key and make sure its spotless. Let it dry and see if that solves the problem for a while...if the key gets dirty "ask me how I know" the car will not always recognize it correctly and will not start...i've had it happen numerous times after I have worked on the car and have dirt or grease on my hands...it has been an issue with everybody Fbody I have ever owned.

If it does turn out to be the vats that is causing the problem, I would recommend the vats bypass/fix.
